Club Doncaster Sports College is a specialist further education provider who specialise in delivering full-time sports qualifications at level 2 & 3. Based at the Keepmoat Stadium, our College facilities include five state of the art classrooms, a common room area with pool and ping pong facilities for students to enjoy, and our very own student gym. Our objectives are to; young people, develop pathways for progression enabling learners to further achieve qualifications and employment opportunities and enable learners to fulfil their potential.

Full-time Sports Education: Our unique curriculum has been designed to give learners the opportunity to develop their employment pathways within the sporting field. Students have the chance to develop their coaching skills and knowledge through a curriculum built up of vocational qualifications. Additional training and qualifications are provided to accelerate the personal development of our students.

A full-time study programme consists of choosing from four options of study:

  • Traineeship
  • Active IQ Level 2 Award in Sport and Leisure (includes Fitness Instructing Qualification)
  • Active IQ Level 2 Diploma in Health & Fitness (includes Personal Training Qualification)
  • BTEC Level 3 90 Credit / Extended Diploma in Sport & Exercise Science

English & Maths:Alongside the main programme of study, learners can re-sit their GCSE or functional skills in Maths and English. This is specifically for learners who do not achieve a grade C at GCSE during their time at school.

DRFC Foundation Football Academy (Men’s & Women’s):The Foundation Football Academy is a specialist extra-curricular academy which runs alongside student's core academic programmes enabling those with a passion for football to develop their skills. Anyone studying full-time with Doncaster Rovers are able to apply to be part of our Academy Category 2 and 3 teams, or 5 a-side leagues, and they will be invited to attend trials in order to secure their position. Successful applicants will represent Doncaster Rovers FC on a regional and national level.

The Dons Foundation Rugby League Academy:Club Doncaster Sports College have teamed up with Doncaster Rugby RLFC (The Dons) to offer students aged 16-19 the chance to study, train and play as part of The Dons Academy. With Category 3 status, this programme is a specialist extra -curricular that will run alongside the learners academic qualifications, training up to 8 hours each week on top of full-time study. This is a unique opportunity for players to represent Club foundation and Doncaster RLFC to compete against other colleges within the Yorkshire region with the opportunity to be selected for the Dons first team.
